LIUGONG Intelligent International Industrial Park Construction Makes New Progres

The LIUGONG Intelligent International Industrial Park project is one of the major projects in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Since construction began in November 2022, the LIUGONG Excavator Smart Factory and the Zhongyuan Hydraulics New Factory have been completed and put into operation.
 
Currently, the LIUGONG New Energy Intelligent Global Innovation Center, the first phase of the Excavator Intelligent Construction Test Field, and the Weixiang Company's overall relocation and renovation project are under full-scale construction and are gradually entering critical phases. Let's take a look at the latest construction progress of the project.

On August 19, the first phase of the LIUGONG Excavator Smart Factory Intelligent Construction Test Field project successfully passed the completion inspection and was delivered. Located opposite the south gate of the excavator smart factory, the project includes a steel structure comprehensive mechanical testing shed with a floor area of nearly 900 square meters, a disassembly and heavy-duty workshop exceeding 6,900 square meters, as well as a fueling island and test field roads. It is a core engineering project for LIUGONG to build a globally leading excavator R&D verification platform.

 
The project is equipped with advanced testing equipment and intelligent management systems, capable of simulating various complex construction environments to provide comprehensive and accurate data support for product R&D. This will significantly shorten product development cycles, enhance product quality, further optimize the “R&D-testing-mass production” chain, and markedly strengthen LIUGONG's core competitiveness in the global construction machinery market.

As a sub-project of the LIUGONG Intelligent International Industrial Park, the LIUGONG New Energy Intelligent Global Innovation Center has a total floor area of nearly 60,000 square meters and will be developed into a new engine driving technological innovation and green development in the construction machinery industry. Currently, construction of multiple areas of the center, including the south building, north building, outdoor landscaping, and basement, is progressing smoothly, with the aim of being ready for relocation before National Day.

It is reported that the center's interior design and construction adhere to LEED Platinum certification standards, integrating advanced technologies such as energy-efficient intelligent office lighting systems, intelligent meeting systems, workstation management, and rainwater recycling systems across three key areas: intelligentization, environmental sustainability, and human-centric design. This approach aims to achieve intelligent office operations and environmentally sustainable management practices.
 
The Weixiang Company's overall relocation and renovation project is part of the supporting infrastructure for the LIUGONG Intelligent International Industrial Park. Upon completion, it will primarily produce components such as cabins and body panels for construction machinery. The project has a total construction area of approximately 79,000 square meters, including component factories, assembly and painting factories, and comprehensive office areas. As of early August, 85% of the steel structure has been completed, with over 200 workers on-site working to ensure construction progress. The factory is expected to be topped out by late September and completed by the end of November.

Through the construction of the Smart International Industrial Park, LIUGONG aims to achieve electrification, intelligence, and digitization of its products and manufacturing systems, accelerate innovation in new products and technologies, expand production scale, improve working conditions, enhance labor efficiency, and achieve economic goals such as increased industrial output value, thereby establishing a benchmark smart manufacturing park for China's construction machinery industry.
