On October 15, 2026, the Red Dot Design Award ceremony was held in Singapore. HELI successfully won the Red Dot Design Award for two design entries: a heavy-duty concept forklift and an intelligent control system. The Red Dot Design Award is recognized as one of the world’s four major design awards, alongside Germany’s iF Design Award, the U.S. IDEA Award, and Japan’s G-Mark Award, and holds significant influence in the global industrial design field. Previously, HELI had already received international design awards such as the IDEA Award, the iF Design Award, Italy’s A’ Design Award, and the U.S. IDA Award. This latest Red Dot Design Award further demonstrates HELI’s ongoing commitment to the design and R&D of industrial vehicles, while also showcasing the progress of China’s industrial vehicle sector as it transitions from product manufacturing to design innovation. For HELI, design innovation is not merely reflected in a product’s appearance but also requires solving practical operational challenges. From concept design to product application, HELI consistently prioritizes operator comfort, operational safety, energy efficiency, and smart functionality, driving the integration of design innovation with real-world working conditions.
I. Heavy-Duty Concept Forklift In the heavy-duty logistics sector, low-carbon operations, clean working practices, smart control, and long-term reliability are critical development requirements. The Heavy-Duty Concept Forklift was designed around these needs, combining a minimalist industrial style with ergonomics to achieve harmony between functional components and the overall appearance. This design not only focuses on the product’s visual appeal but also explores the direction of electrification for high-tonnage forklifts. By integrating functional design with user needs, HELI aims to provide more comfortable, environmentally friendly, and intelligent equipment options for heavy-duty logistics. This award recognizes the innovative value of this design in the field of industrial design and provides new insights for the green and intelligent design of heavy-duty industrial vehicles.
II. Intelligent Control System The intelligent control system is primarily designed to address the comfort and safety needs of forklift operators during daily operations. The system features an ergonomic curved design that allows the arms to naturally rest against the control area, helping to reduce fatigue caused by prolonged operation. Integrated control buttons simplify the operation process, allowing operators to execute multiple commands with minimal movement. These design features help enhance operational comfort and work efficiency while reducing the risk of operational errors caused by cumbersome controls, thereby improving on-site safety. Unlike designs that remain solely at the conceptual stage, this system is currently being progressively applied to full-scale product validation and is moving steadily toward commercialization. In the future, as related applications continue to mature, this design is expected to serve a wider range of warehousing and logistics scenarios. Winning the Red Dot Design Award marks yet another achievement in HELI’s ongoing commitment to product design and technological R&D. By combining design philosophy with practical operational needs, HELI continues to explore the future direction of industrial vehicles in terms of electrification, intelligentization, and human-machine interaction. Moving forward, HELI will continue to leverage its collaborative R&D system both domestically and internationally to strengthen cooperation between technical R&D and industrial design, developing industrial vehicle products that balance aesthetic design, product performance, and practical application needs. Through continuous design innovation and technological advancement, HELI will further enhance product competitiveness, drive the industrial vehicle industry toward greener, smarter, and higher-quality development, and continue to advance toward the goal of “World-Class, Centennial HELI.”
