Recently, the Publicity and Education
Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment announced the list of
excellent cases in the “2025 Enterprise ESG Case Collection Activity”, and LIUGONG's
excellent practice of “Wisdom Empowering Green Transformation, Constructing a
New Paradigm of Manufacturing” was successfully selected, marking that the
integration path of LIUGONG's “ESG Governance+Green Intelligent Manufacturing”
has won authoritative recognition at the national level. The case
comprehensively demonstrates LIUGONG's efforts in “ESG Governance + Green
Intelligent Manufacturing” and “Green Intelligent Manufacturing”.
The case comprehensively demonstrates LIUGONG's systematic layout and innovative achievements in environmental, social and governance (ESG), especially in constructing ESG governance mechanisms and integrating green and intelligent manufacturing, which has set up an industry benchmark. At the same time, LIUGONG's Wind ESG rating jumped to an A grade, and the CSI ESG rating was upgraded to an AA grade, further proving its excellent governance effectiveness. LIUGONG has deeply embedded ESG concepts into its corporate development strategy. On the one hand, it has optimized its governance structure, upgraded the committees under the Board of Directors to “Strategy and ESG Committees”, and set up an ESG Leadership Team and cross-departmental implementation teams led by senior executives to ensure the vertical implementation of ESG objectives; on the other hand, it has formulated the Carbon Emission Management Plan, the LIUGONG Energy Business Plan, and the “14th Five-Year Plan”, and has established an ESG Management Committee. "On the other hand, LIUGONG has formulated the Carbon Emission Management Program, LIUGONG Energy Business Plan, and other special documents to set clear carbon reduction targets.
Driven by technological innovation, LIUGONG continues to push forward the dual-wheel strategy of “Intelligence + Green” to build an intelligent green manufacturing system and achieve remarkable results. The intelligent factory for loaders deploys 102 robots and 82 AGVs, integrating laser cutting and digital twin technology to increase production capacity by 15% and shorten the manufacturing cycle by 50%. The automation rate of the excavator intelligent factory exceeds 70%, greatly improving production efficiency and resource utilization. In terms of carbon reduction at source, LIUGONG adopts a green welding process, and the mixed gas shielded welding reduces carbon dioxide consumption by 40%; and the implementation of dry cutting realizes “zero waste liquid emission”. In terms of energy optimization, a 28.73 MW photovoltaic project has been completed, with an annual power generation of 27.77 million kWh, reducing the energy consumption per unit of coating by 16%, and reducing carbon emissions by 15,700 tons per year. In terms of resource recycling, the recycling rate of remanufactured old parts reaches 85%, and the performance is restored to 95% of new products; the reuse rate of wastewater exceeds 60%, and the plating wastewater realizes 100% recycling, forming green closed-loop management.
As a national ESG benchmarking enterprise in the construction machinery industry, LIUGONG will continue to deepen the construction of ESG system, research green key technologies, improve low-carbon industrial layout, and link upstream and downstream to build a green ecosystem.
