A trip is not only a geographical movement, but also a stretching of the mind and a touch of culture. Recently, WEALTHY LEGION organized a three-day trip to Fuzhou with the theme of “Humanities Search + Island Wave”, where the team's relationship between the mountains and the sea was quietly warmed up and the friendship was precipitated in the scenery.
In the old streets and deep alleys of Fuzhou, the WEALTHY LEGION started the first chapter of this journey.Wandering in the Sanfangqixiang, which is known as the “Museum of Ancient Architecture of the Ming and Qing Dynasties”, the thousand-year cultural lineage of Fuzhou is precipitated among the ancient houses and lanes. We walked into Yan Fu's former residence to feel the power of enlightenment from the trajectory of his translation of the ideas of “liberty, equality and fraternity” into China; and in Lin Zexu Memorial Hall, the national temperament and commitment to reform are still moving. Afterwards, we came to the ancient neighborhood of Shangshanghang, which was once a commercial port on the waterway and still retains the old shadow of the Minjiang River and the style of the riding buildings. The aroma of tea, oil paper umbrellas, and traditional pastries in the old street ...... quietly tell the story of Fuzhou's past prosperity as a major town on the Silk Road.
In the East China Sea Wonderland, everyone was shocked by the wonders in front of them: steep cliffs, huge “immortal wells” in the waves like dragons roaring and leaping, as if nature is performing a magnificent show. Standing by the rocks, the wind whistles past your ears, and your mind is completely emptied at this moment. Entering into Changjiangao, Pingtan Island, the tall windmills stood on the coast, and the blue sky and white waves formed an open and magnificent picture scroll. Members ran in the sea breeze, taking pictures, picking up shells, some took off their shoes and stepped on the fine sand to feel the temperature of the sea water, the sound of laughter echoed between the windmills. The most participatory experience was catching the sea in the mudflat fishery. Learning how to look for clams, shells and small sea fish from the fishermen, everyone rolled up their pants legs, took the tools, and seriously “panned for sea treasures” in the shallows. At the end of the trip, the group boarded Monkey Research Island, which has a marvelous scenery. The sea and the sky are all in one color, and the view is extremely broad. Standing on the island and looking southeast, there are surging waves on one side and an infinite distance on the other, as if the end of the world is right under our feet. This kind of scenery makes people relaxed and happy, and also makes them feel the preciousness of the team together.
This journey is the scenery measured by the footsteps of WEALTHY LEGION, and it is also a period of laughter and warmth strung together as memories. Whether it is through the weight of history, or to the lightness of the mountains and the sea, each stop has written a wonderful chapter belonging to the team. The mountains and the sea are endless, and the team is moving forward.
